Intel International Science and Engineering Fair concludes with awards ceremony
Teen scientists won thousands of dollars for their top-notch research
Intel ISEF wrapped up on Friday. Big awards went to kids studying HIV, oil spills and how to keep air cabins clean.

PITTSBURGH, Pa. — After a week of sharing their science, learning, facing intimidating judges and even having a few parties, the teens at the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair finished their trip in style with a grand awards ceremony.
Intel ISEF was created by Society for Science & the Public and sponsored by Intel. It has been bringing young scientists together from around the world for 65 years. This year, more than 1,700 finalists from more than 70 countries came to show off their projects.

The 2015 Intel International Science and Engineering Fair ended Friday morning with a grand awards ceremony. Run by the Society for Science & the Public, #IntelISEF brought more than 1700 high school students from around the world to Pittsburgh, Pa., to compete.

Intel ISEF AwardsEach year more than 1,700 student finalists earn the right to attend the Intel ISEF as a result of winning an Intel ISEF-affiliated fair at a local, regional, or national level. Intel ISEF finalists compete for more than $5 million in awards and prizes and are judged on their creative ability and scientific thought, as well as the thoroughness, skill, and clarity shown in their projects. -
